The subject is superb. I got so frustrated w/ the 3' min. focus on the 'blad I found some tubes & have been glad. 'Would love to see the detail of the web on that wire more closely. As is, you really did nail the focus - which would have been pure luck for me. Keep doing these!

Thank you Mr Silver
The f2 is very good for central focusing (my eyes arent so good either), bright and clear view finder, much better than the fg-20 I was using. The web is not very sharp, so I didnt crop, maybe could of cropped before the scan. I like the small focal area. The light was shining just in the right spot. Can see potential for this. At the moment Im all over the shop experimenting.

'Wish we could pass the hat & get you a 200mm macro. Its a neat shot. Using tube, I have alot of trouble hitting focus precisely - often on uneven & soft ground. There just isn't enough dof for my eyes either. This whole mortality thing is so over-rated. 'Love your posts. Keep 'em coming.

Its ok I have a nikkor micro 55mm, just need to get up close and personal......oh and a few tripods, one with spikes for soft ground. Yes mortality gets us all in the end, just keep moving and make the most of it.

Thanks for the encouragement.
