Bank of America San Francisco

Contemplative lighting opportunity at the ponderous Bank of America building on California Street in San Francisco.

This printed with more shadow detail on the right. When done right, pyro does atmospheric effects like no other.

Very striking photograph- well done. Talk about being prepared at the right place at the right time. Any darkroom assistance with the sunbeams?

All the best,
Daniel

Wow!

I know this isn't exactly an incisive, penetrating critique but, well... Wow!

When I printed this I truly confirmed my appreciation of the wonders of pyro. It prints without any burning or dodging whatsoever - only a small bit of bleaching in the trees for added drama.

this area in downtown has a ton of wonderful light filtering down through the buildings. even a few blocks north of market street. it doesn't last long though, like any good light. good capture on this one!
