Thank you both!
Hans, do you really think so? All these photos are of very different periods (save for the two with the girl) and I didn't have something particular in mind.
Your combination of strong black graphic elements with a soft frosted glass , the plant behind it , the cityscape, all of these elements combined into a poetic abstract glow ...just beautifully done really, this is a place where if you set up a chair could produce a body of work no matter how mundane it may look at the first glance, nice eye sir.
one little thing , lower left seem a bit too hot on my screen , this must be great to be hold in hands.
Ilya: Thank you for the detailed analysis! As for the lower left, you are quite right, it is the strongest highlight of the picture and it did give me a moment of concern. But I decided that not only whites are good, to counterbalance the blacks, but also, realistically, it is the hottest part of the scene, with the strong sun hitting the balcony and making the concrete literally burn, thus I left it to keep that feeling.
Hans, I think you are right, but its still a bit fuzzy in my head and can't really solidify it.
