A spirited middle child in a family of five children. Here she was telling me that she finally has her own bedroom -- no more having to share with her younger sister.
Thanks, John. Actually, well....nope, they don't get along at all. A healthy dose of sibling rivalry.
Just after this shot, Bailey was lamenting that she wouldn't be there to play with me the following day. I said, "Man, who am I gonna hang out with if you're not here?"
Bailey, with a scowl and a quietly menacing voice: "It better not be my sister."
I think the face is very strong and the composition of logs in the background is great, however, to be honest I feel the pose is a little stiff. She doesn't look entirely at ease to my eye - a minor point in an otherwise excellent shot.
That log directly behind her back ... it is a "wing"!! The net result to me is something more than a rendering of a young girl... it is almost like discovering an angel in disguise - an angel radiating a sense of power and determination ... beautifully.
Cheryl, in a way you frustrate me. I keep thinking you have "maxed out" ... and your next image is even more wonderful.
Brava!!
Thanks, all, and Ed, you're making me blush. This girl was amazing to work with. I seriously need to update my website, since I have so few of my recent favorites on it. Hopefully I'll get to it in the next day or two.
