For those who remember Baby Caroline, this is an image I haven't shared until now because, frankly, it was too hard to look at. This is Caroline's grandmother, overwhelmed with the joy of meeting her granddaughter and the pain of knowing Caroline would be gone soon.
Now that some time has passed, I find this image to be more joyful than sad.
Cheryl, I do remember Caroline very vividly. The last image, as well as this, is a photograph that takes a lot of guts to do. You will always have my respect.
