Azo postcard stock, expired 1921

Azo postcard stock, expired 1921

This is a print I made on Azo postcard stock that expired in 1921. I can't believe that I got an image at all. I exposed the neg for 5 minutes under a 120watt grow light and developed it in Amidol for about 12 seconds. Crazy.

1921 Azo postcard stock in Amidol
That's eighty-five years old! Amazing.

Actually not surprising. Azo goes on forever. Well, went forever I should say now that it is no longer made. Interesting shot to boot, Matt.

Did you by it new?
They say that it lasts a long time and this is proof

I believe it measures 3-1/2"x5-1/2". The neg is 3-1/4x4-1/4. The top part of the scan is the front of the postcard, the bottom part is the back.

I was amazed that I was able to get a decent image.
