Avebury Ditch

OK, if we are starting to upload Avebury pics... ;) The only one I have printed so far. Not happy with stone/sky separation, but here it is. (Couldn't think of any appropriate Beatles lyrics for a title)...

That 4x5 might have meant you shot less than the rest of us but, oh my! Lovely shot Bob.

I rather think it does Dave...

I shot 26 sheets on the two days and only stuffed two sheets with dumb mistakes: an all-time low-score record for me. I'll get the hang of this beast yet! Other thing I noticed when making contacts - not one has the stones as the main subject... Cheers, Bob.

Bob, I confess. I keep coming back to this one. My eye falls down the ditch and follows it to the tree. I pause at the tree, ease over to the rock and then scan the horizon. Finally the eye wanders left and eventually comes to rest on the domestic animals (sheep?) at back left. Something very calming in this image for me.

Cheers Brad: that is exactly how I envisioned the eye to move (a bit of burning in to encourage it...) The sheep keep the grass down. I just wish there had not been the high altitude haze obscuring most of the clouds. Ho hum. Cheers, Bob.
