Autumn, Young's Pond

Love the subtle warm colors on this one; images like this are the reason I can't get excited over B&W.

Thanks for the compliment. As noted, this image was taken with the Nikon 500mm ED T lens on Fujichrome Velvia 50 soon after sunrise at Young's Pond in Branford, CT. We had to adjust the contrast a bit to get the image as it appears. You can see the warm light on the leaves, tree trunks and branches, and the reflection in the water. I positioned the prominant conifer near the left third to reverse as closely as I could for color theory in this image of the secondary color of green surrounded by the orange (ideally red) leaves.
