Thanks very much for the comments. This, and the previous shot, came in the first 3 rolls of colour slide film I have ever used, so I'm very happy to have come away with a couple of shots I am pleased with. Being somewhat colourblind, I have shied away from colour as it's difficult for me to sort out any colour shift that sneaks in.
To be honest, I think the location deserves most of the credit here. With dozens of different species of trees all going assorted colours at various times, all you have to do is wait until autumn and wave a camera in the general direction...
Bonus: you can warm up and have a nice cuppa in the boathouse tea room overlooking the lake after shooting!
