Autumn, Slippery Rock Creek

4x5 silver contact print

Sneaked out for an early morning shoot with my friend Scott last Saturday. Made this just after sunup during a light mist. The yellow leaves seemed to be on fire. Been really into the work of John Sexton lately, might have rubbed off a bit. =)

(Posted this earlier before I noticed I missed cropping some black off the edges.)

Superbly done Shawn. Not sure what is meant by "Rodinal Minimal Agitation 5:900" ? Keep up the good work!

Hey Shawn this is marvelous.... Just super composed and printed superbly.

thank you so much. Going through a family health situation and exposing and printing this has served as my limited escape the past week.

grant,
I place one 4x5 sheet of film into a double 120 stainless tank, vertically. I pour in a 900ml of water, 5ml of rodinal mix. I agitate the first minute and then for 20 seconds or so every ten minutes for a total time of 40 minutes. (I turn the film upside down with each cycle).

Nice rich looking print Shawn. I guess the 5x4 format, Lodima and Amidol have a lot to do with it (plus your skill of course !)

Very interesting Rodinal technique too !
