Image taken at about 8:30AM after the clearing of the mist on the lake. Only one image could be made as wind came down from the mountainside creating ripples right after the exposure.
Thanks for the compliment. Unfortunately no, this was taken at about 8:30AM in 1995 several days apart from the image of Lake Placid from White Face and a year earlier than Autumn Misty Morn, Heart Lake (taken at about 7:30AM) which are both posted in my gallery. Both photos of Heart Lake were taken from the Dock at Heart Lake which is owned by the Adirondack Mountain Club. This location has some of the best views of the High Peaks Region of the Adirondack Mountains from the top of nearby Mt. Jo. It is also the starting point for many of the tallest peaks in the Adirondacks including Algonquin (2nd tallest peak) which is at the back of the image and also Mt. Marcy (tallest peak).
