For me, this one is by far the stronger composition. You've managed to boil it down to a simple but at the same time very rich photo. The other one does very little for me I'm afraid...

I agree with Ian, this one has more of a "hidden" story too by means of the hangers... I could well see a nice "attic" series emerging out of this.

I prefer this one: The luminous window - ajar, the coat hangers and cobwebs make it come alive.

I'm in complete agreement with everyone else. this is the one. the off-centre composition, the window ajar- giving the option of escape (the other image feels a little claustrophobic) & the coat hangers add a sense of personality.
