Colin Corneau Apr 22, 2008 Is this colour an accurate representation of the actual print? If so, it's a very appealing tone.
Ian Grant Apr 23, 2008 Colin the image was developed in a warm-tone developer, with a long exposure/short developing time to get maximum warmth then Selenium toned. A similar colour can be obtained with bromide papers toned in IT-8 Ian

Marco B Apr 23, 2008 Ian, what's IT-8? Just a thiourea / thiocarbamide toner? IT-8 in Google just delivers a hole bunch of IT-8 color target references ;-)

Ian Grant Apr 23, 2008 Marco, IT-8 is a bleach / redeveloper toner. The dichromate bleach & the Pyrocatechin developer give the image a warm olive tone. IT stands for Ilford Toner. I did post the formula but Sean hasn't fixed the articles/formula section yet.
