i could look at this often, and notice new things every time. i love how some of the image is askew, and some is perfectly perpendicular.
 
What an interesting looking shop,a "Chickener" is a new concept to me. When you print this I would crop off those two lights at the top.
 
hi tony! well, the only thing they sell is chicken, both raw and cooked, and eggs (raw only). (depsite the presence of two ceramic pigs atop the counter in front of the flowers, no pork is to be found on premises!) so, butcher's didn't seem like the right word...and then chickener's popped to mind and was born. thanks, too, for the suggestion about cropping the top two lights. since i'd lose the "painting" of the two cocks having a go at each other, i'm afraid i'll have to revisit and reframe without the lights, if possible. or maybe they could just be turned off... i spoke to the owners/managers/employees (all two of them, a couple), who said the business had been in the family about 80 odd years, with them being the second generation, and their son in line to be the third. great times!
