Asphalt Glyph

The crosswalk lines in front of Bass Pro are a painted series of fish. Our caravan stopped here for last-minute outfitting on the way to camp this past summer. Without DX the camera assumes EI 100, so for every power-up I had to push exposure compensation button twice to get EI 64.

Thanks jnanian! It was a great week, same trip as "Fuel for the fire." It was a strange feeling to see these petroglyphs as I approached the crosswalk. I sensed this employee folk art would be closest I would get to a "real" Native American rock painting. The paint reminded me of a shot by a local photographer (who said hi to me while I was picking avacados for dinner last night) of spattered paint at a paint factory that looks like a golden carp in seaweed, I wished this shot was a random smatter but I take what I can get.
