Our upper Sonoran climate zone favors cactus, Pinon pine and juniper trees, and a few Ponderosa pine in canyons. This is an example of an old juniper that survives through years of dry and wet and has evidently been doing so for hundreds of years. Much to the detriment of allergy sufferers.
