Are you sure we can eat this?

This Yabby (fresh-water crayfish) was captured by my son Paddy (pictured) and his friends in a local dam (there is also a smaller one in the container). After observing it for quite awhile thay decided that they couldn't eat it, and let it go (pity). So I am not sure if this qualifies or not, but it certainly is a picture of food. The problem is that it is probably still swimming around in the dam where it was captured.
