Chrismat Feb 23, 2018 This is a great shot. I was in Paris last September and this is better than any I took of the Arc de Triumph.

jtk Feb 24, 2018 I like it! Hope you made more at that shutter speed on that wet Paris day...could be a great sequence.

Svenedin Feb 24, 2018 Wet. White boring sky. Blurred people; rather nauseating especially as it’s France.
Colin Corneau Feb 25, 2018 @Svenedin Yes, 1/8th of a second tends to have that effect on crowds of people.
Svenedin Feb 25, 2018 @Colin Corneau Hors de doute but why? Just because it’s Paris (especially because it’s Paris) doesn’t make it a good photograph.

jtk Feb 26, 2018 @Svenedin ...Technical "perfection" and demand for "interesting sky" are among the most boring photographic goals at tourist sites.

Colin Corneau Feb 26, 2018 @Svenedin Exactly. Why do you think that the locale alone is enough? I certainly don't. I simply try to create the mood and feel of a place, regardless of where that is, at the time I'm there. And yes, JTK, it is a boring goal...pedantic, even.

Martin Aislabie Feb 27, 2018 Love the movement. Tripods don't work well in Paris - they seem to attract attention. Railings always make great tripods - as do table tops. Martin
