Arc de Triomph

Bracing my camera against a railing, to hopefully make 1/8th second work. The takeaway: pack a tripod.

This is a great shot. I was in Paris last September and this is better than any I took of the Arc de Triumph.

I like it!

Hope you made more at that shutter speed on that wet Paris day...could be a great sequence.

Wet. White boring sky. Blurred people; rather nauseating especially as it’s France.

@Svenedin Yes, 1/8th of a second tends to have that effect on crowds of people.

@Svenedin ...Technical "perfection" and demand for "interesting sky" are among the most boring photographic goals at tourist sites.

@Svenedin Exactly. Why do you think that the locale alone is enough? I certainly don't. I simply try to create the mood and feel of a place, regardless of where that is, at the time I'm there.
And yes, JTK, it is a boring goal...pedantic, even.

Love the movement.

Tripods don't work well in Paris - they seem to attract attention.

Railings always make great tripods - as do table tops.
