APUG outing January 2008

This was the second photo scene we encountered in our walk around the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne. This location is about 800 metres from the centre of Melbourne.

It isn't the greatest of shots and whilst it's reasonable in B&W, it's more of a colour shot as presented. I used an orange filter to highlight some lighter parts of foliage, to differentiate from the almost wall to wall green.

Very interesting shapes. They seem to want to push out of the frame. The water helps give it that movement, otherwise just a clump. Nice comp.
 
Yes it is the water which makes it slightly better than average, just!
