Hey a fellow BCer.
I really like the clarity in the stump - detailed complexity.
Just wondering if you have thought of using a slightly different vantage point in order to avoid the grasses in the foreground.
What kind of meter are you using?
I tried a number of different vantage points, but short of having a crane and a camera with movements (or possibly a good set of hip waders) this seemed the best.
The new meter is a Gossen Digiflash. I've had (and been happy with) a Gossen Profisix for years, but it has always been a bit bigger than I'd prefer when I'm trying to travel light - especially with the flash meter attachment. I've been on the lookout for a Digisix or Digiflash for a while, but couldn't find one to actually hold in my hand and try until I went down to Seattle and dropped into Glazers Camera. They had one on display, and a good price, so I bought.
I was thinking afterwards that it was the first piece of photographic equipment that I've bought in a long time that I bought new, and paid regular price.
