Thanks for the comments. No, this is in South Africa, in the western Cape. There is a nature reserve called Tankwa, the african version of Burning Man, Afrika Burn is held there. This roadside cafe called Tankwa Padstal (Afrikaans for roadside cafe) is the most interesting of places, run by the most interesting of people. She may look a bit scary, however she was everything but scary. Warm, friendly and very interesting.
