Another From Salado

This is from the trip to Salado, with Matt and David Brown. A slightly different look of the front of the church from Matt's excellent work. There really is detail in those trees, just can't get the scan to show it.

Beautiful! I do love the silhouette of the tree--a cool shade against the bright Texas sun.

bravo mike.

As you said on saturday, it is quite "different" and in quite a good way.

Thank You Valerie and Matt, but think you guys might be biased. Matt, was thinking about your door of this earlier and wondering if a gum layer would give a nice split tone - would love to hear your thoughts (on or off line), say some burnt umber with a bit of indian yellow to capture the honey brown color of the door.

Wow, that's really lovely Mike. The open shadows on the church work really well against the blackness of the trees. You've achieved a wonderful asymmetrical balance here and the quality of light is just beautiful. Nice work.

Thanks Shawn, appreciate the comments, was lucky to find it while walking around looking for a place to sit the tripod.
