is this really matted and framed as you show it ?

It is not matted and framed as yet. When it becomes matted and framed it will look like this. Right now I think of it as a 'vertuial' mat & frame. To my eye the picutre isn't complete until it is matted and framed.

When I scan the 8x10 print I proportionally put in the matt and frame to about 11X14.

I like the linear composition of your photo.But I feel that you should crop the bottom of the photo so as to remove that stick in the foreground. A little extra burning in of the sky on the top left hand side would even up the sky tone. Finally spotting of that white spot on the right hand side of the sky would complete the picture.
