Anna

This was the first time I used my Hasselblad. Since Anna had travelled many miles to get to me I was a bit nervous that the negatives would be ruin in the developing-process. But thankfully they were not.

On our left side I have used a softbox just outside the image 80x80 cm and the background is black, but since Anna is placed just next to it it is a bit lighter. On the other side I have used a white surface to bounce the light back (don't know the word for the gear)

As you can see the jpeg isn't nice and there are a big blob in the middle of the background. Thank God the paper looks nicer. Damn you, scanner

I think this is a wonderful picture as well. Generally I don't like the idea of the person being so close to the edge and looking out of the frame, but in this case it looks perfect.

I also think the skin tones are brilliant.

very nice composition... l like the fact you have placed your model off center... very good print
 
at first I did not like the comp, but now I think it works....the expression sells the image...I think not having the black shirt in the bottom of the image but instead having the shape and tone of her skin would have worked better.
