Sheep shearers work amazingly hard - it is really physical work.
Tossing the sheep and then shearing them is probably the hardest days work I have ever done - it kills your back.
And, for good measure, if you let your guard down for a moment the sheep taking great delight in head butting you - just above your eyes.

Thanks. I spent a couple of hours with Anna last Sunday watching her work. They were her own sheep - she has 98 of her own as well as being a self-employed shearer. She's just taken on a cleaning job and milks cows to earn enough to pay her mortgage.
