There is just no end to how gorgeous your images from Cambodia are, Peter. Gleaming, and a peace that no doubt was shattered for so many years in the 20th century. I have often wondered if there was ever a time in the history there, where several generations enjoyed their time together in the peace that clearly some generation built. Besides the cataloging of all the places you have, capturing their significance, or the detail of the nature that exists all around us, it is not a mere record that you are producing, but they are such fantastic compositions done so well. When will the book come out?
What Michael said.
I love foreground detail w/ background subject. I've also tried & tried to get knarled roots this well. 'Just a beautiful & touching image.
Thank you Michael ! I am trying to put together a coherent retrospective of my eclectic collection of photos. So far I have a series of plant portraits, landscapes and churches. It was until now that I realized that I photograph scenes that bring me peace, so somewhere in those words I expect to find the name for the show. That is why I have digital copies of my work, to organize the photos.
My next goal is attempting to produce a series of Victorian botanical illustrations and hummingbirds in flight with large format.
They are all really filled with emotion and identity even in a world most have never experienced. At the end of the day, isn't that one of the greater invaluable contributions of photography to art and life and understanding?
