4x5 paper neg pinhole image from an old plate camera witha homemade pinhole, then contact printed and scanned. I just started playing with this pinhole stuff and I think I'm totally in love. I have an 8x10 that I just fitted with a pinhole, so I'm excited to do some bigger paper negs and see what I get! :D
usually I don't like pinholes because of dullness or stuff to do with angels or pixies or the like, but this...I don't not like. in fact how was the outline made...waving arms or was it somehow added in later by putting an angel image close to the camera?
*lol* I'm glad you don't not like it Pinhole definitely seems to be a natural choice for ethereal type images. I'm a sucker for movement but I didn't like to bump up my aperture/dof to take a longer exposure on a bright day. Blurry, improperly measured pinholes seem to be the best solution for me. I'm curious if anyone else has a guess as to how the wings were done before I reveal my method?
Very impressive. I've been looking through the images on the world wide pinhole day site, and this is far better than anything I've seen there - though I've not seen them all, there's thousands. My guess is 2 taller, cloth draped, moving models, one on each side of your angel.
Sly is very close and jbridges picked up on a key element - the "trail" Thanks for the nice comments, everyone! I feel like there is so much to explore. Now if only it would stop raining so much!
