Andy - I love this!! Thanks so much for taking this of me!!! Love it. Interesting that the image, although a positive here has my wedding ring appear on the right hand? Is that from the physics of wetplate or from the scanning process? I think from what you taught me that a wetplate printed on glass would be a negative? So is this really a negative but since the backing (black tin) is used we see it positive - but reversed?

Glad you like it Andy... You are correct, this is a positive image. On aluminum, or tin (tintype) they come across as reversed images. If i was shot on clear glass to make a negative, obviously the print would be the right way round. LIke film, the collodion emulsion would be in contact with the paper, or enlarged with the collodion side down, reversing the image back to the correct way round.
