If you like this print, you should see the walnut board I resawed, planed and sprayed with lacquer. Walnut is beautiful wood. Probably great for LF cameras, don't you think?

The walnut board will wind up being one of three that are glued together on edge with grain in opposite directions using the dowel method to form the foldout base of an 8x10 field camera. I realize that there are those who believe that walnut doesn't have the dimensional stability of mahogony. Walnut is pretty, workable, strong... and you can still buy it in the USA
