This is from my son's first roll of film he processed and printed himself. He didn't have much help from me either!

If you like this print, you should see the walnut board I resawed, planed and sprayed with lacquer. Walnut is beautiful wood. Probably great for LF cameras, don't you think? :smile:
 
... bookmatch... Ah, now that's a good question. The walnut board will wind up being one of three that are glued together on edge with grain in opposite directions using the dowel method to form the foldout base of an 8x10 field camera. I realize that there are those who believe that walnut doesn't have the dimensional stability of mahogony. Walnut is pretty, workable, strong... and you can still buy it in the USA
 
Walnut or no walnut...your son's first photo turned out quite nicely! Give him our compliments!! He captured quite a nice array of light & shadow there! :D Good Job Andrew!! :wink:

If Andrew wants those posted, he'll have to register as an APUG member in his own right
