Nice picture, well seen: cloud/lake shape. Good memories for Colombia; travelled some times south to Puerto Lopez and north Tunja & Villa de Leyva. Didn't dare to go in the '90 to Macarena; oldest part of South-America and then the most violent! Maybe if we have peace in our time I try again.

Yes, it is terrible that these countries suffer from so much violence, but with nearly 50% living below the poverty line, no opportunities and no family values, people gravitate towards crime. I feel safer here than in Guatemala, but still, there are many places I won't visit.
A pity, as this is a wonderful country

So many of these are close in appearance to the US south west. Topography, flora, rocky soil. You have some wonderful places to do your magic, Peter. Anyone here that shoots the south west would do well to spend time on your images.

Thank you for your comments. This batch of images of the park is fairly recent. Almost everything I photographed the first year here is what - technically speaking - falls. into the category of crap. Not a single image. I just couldn't "get" the light. The photos looked dull and lifeless. I tweaked exposure and development for about six months and after that I started producing images I actually liked. And this place is just mindblowing !

@pbromaghin No, the first SFX images I posted were two images of coconut palms and a rock at the edge of a glacial lake. The IR effect is much more obvious in the coconut grove because there is a lot of IR radiation, both, present and reflected. When I used that film to photograph these highland biomes I learned something quite interesting: these plants absorb a lot of infrarred radiation but reflect very little, probably to conserve heat. Unless I have scorching sunlight and clear sky, the Wood effect is barely noticeable.
