You do all that on purpose. My negs all look like this by accident. I like it. It adds to the feeling of distress. Send me a PM if you don't already have the 75 f5.6 for the 600 SE.

Could the same effect be achieved with a negative mask without risking the original negative?

wfe: I don't think so..
but even if, I didn't want to do it. the destruction of the original negative is an important part of the final image..
It has to hurt to do it..

dave: you're right! My "editions" are allways limited...

sometimes by the fact that the negative will deteiorate(sp?) by it self. (if added bleach/fix..)

This is a technique I have wnted to try but been afraid...Do you do this to the negative in development or in the printing process?

Hi Stradibarrius: this is made on the negative, but sometimes I also distress the final image.
