Ive been going through my neagatives lately and I found this one today. Taken probably a week or two before Hurricane Katrina, on one of our visits after Al got out of school. This is the last photograph I have of her in her house.
Such beautiful memories. They may fade over time but photographs such as this rekindle the warmth in our hearts instantly.
Sam, you're on a mission and your work is inspiring.
this picture is great. it works on so many different levels, and i can feel the atmosphere of the room. not only is it successful as a photograph, the added emotion you have attached to it makes it a very important image. the added emotion also shows your vulnerability for showing us this photo, and for that, i am thankful.
