I really love the highlight glow off his pants, shirt, and hat. Another wonderfully playful image, which is in a way a bit unexpected of you and a really pleasant surprise.
1. This is an OLD Post. I happened on it for reasons not related to this thread or this image.
2. The picture info states.......Equipment Used: Speed Graphic, using a magnifying glass as a lens.
Does that mean he held the Mag Glass up the the lens that was on the camera...or that he removed the lens from the camera, and Held/Attached the mag glass to the camera body.?
Thank You
Thanks for the intertest! Cheap magnifying lens glued to a lensboard that was then mounted on the camera...hence no aperature. The lens was 3 to 4 inches in diameter.
Ah...OK....No aperture...Right.
I am only a 35mm SLR Zombie, so the lens board thing did not even occur to me
Like i say, i happened upon this for unrelated reasons. BUT...i have just completed an "Alternative Process" class at my local College, so this caught my eye.
I was thinking (before i looked at your info) that there was some kind of Soft Focus/Vaseline scenario going on. But when i looked...Magnifying Glass.!
'Tis a cool effect. Do you have more of these, or other scenes.?
Thank You
I borrowed the lens/lensboard combo, so only took a couple that worked with the out-dated type 55 film. I can't seem to post an image to this tread, though. I'll put the other one up on the standard gallery
