Vaughn, I like all of the images you have posted and I agree with you that this one "feels" right. Great composition. Looks like the typical soft light you get up there. I really need to come up for a visit.

Thanks, Jim. I definitely feels better than images of just two boys -- but the jury is out still if this is "right"....but it is promising. This is a straight scan of the whole neg with just over-all contrast and brightness adjustments. Since I typically do not burn or dodge my prints, it gives me an idea of what the print will look like.

This was a sunny day, but late enough that no direct sun was entering the canyon here. Come on up! I'll walk your legs off! (but I know lots of places in the redwoods you can photograph from the road with your bigger cameras, also!)

I like this very much. Beautiful detail everywhere and a great sense of light and space.
