His first puppy love moved to another school last week. This might be the first time he's ever felt grief.

Dianna, great shot and wonderful mood. My wife liked his knees and the "kid" look of the whole image. Very nice tonal rendition and depth of field. I would like to see it more from eye level, but this is nit picking. Fortunately for all of us, time heals all wounds. This one should go in his life's portrait portfolio. tim

Tell the young man, I feel his pain. Been there and felt that.

I like the balance of this image. I'd like to see the print. What scanner did you use?

Poor little guy. You've really captured his emotions well.

I'll answer in Dianna's stead. She uses an Epson 2450 which works great for everything we'd want to scan negs and transparencies up to 4x5 on.

No print yet -- darkroom is in the latter stages of construction. As soon as we get it up and running, though, no doubt this will be one of the first images she or I prints.

Thanks for the info. I was just curious cause I use a Bronica as well and this scan looks really good... I'm looking to start scanning my 6x45 negs sometime soon.

I think much of the scan quality is due to the neg being a Pyrocat neg and being scanned as RGB to accomodate the stain, then "monochromed" afterward.
