Agean at dawn 1969

These are 38 year old Kodachrome slides I just found of my very first foray into photography when I was 17.

These are shots of our art class's spring break trip to Greece. We visited Corfu in the Agean and Athens.

We flew from London to Brindisi Italy and took a ferry all night. This was my first view of the Agean at sunrise

Nice one. At 17 and in Corfu it would have been the last sunrise of the holiday I would have seen unless a group of us had sat up all night just chatting. As long as there were girls in the group, it could even have been alcohol free. Back then, what a civilising influence girls were.

yes, we sat up all night chatting on the way from Brindisi to Corfu.

I missed an earthquake while I was there, due to my first introduction to Greek wine. The small 4 ounce glass of wine never emptied, much to my amazement, and despite the collection of empty bottles in front of me.

That memory is still a tad hazy. Not sure how I got back to the hotel room that night.

oh, and I'm the one of the civilizing aspects you spoke of -- girl here!
