Afternoon tree in Infrared

Second outing with Rollei IR400 and this time, I decided to stick with EI 12, no matter how iffy it felt.

- And it worked, the negatives look beautiful.
This is a scan (with a slight tint for the hell of it)

I made a blog entry here about my outing with this and with EFKE IR820 AURA:

Even the thumbnail picture was attractive and made me want to look at the full size picture. It was even better.Rollei looks a good bet now that Kodak has gone and EI12 is just about manageable when handheld. Rollei is clearly IR but is still subtle. Occasionally Kodak could appear to be "over the top" in its look.pentaxuser

Wow. You really walked on the right side of that fine line between just enough and too much. A beautiful scene beautifully captured.

Thank you =) Indeed, I was rather lucky with the exposure it seems. The conditions were cloudy (as seen on the picture), but also with a thin high-altitude misty cloud cover, reducing/diffusing the light a tiny bit, this is probably why the light is a touch softer than the usual IR I am used to see. I took this shot as the sun came out between two clouds for a few seconds. EI 12 works here, but I think IR levels change during the day, the year and also it depends on where you are located, so I suppose it's not a 100% certainty, but it is a very nice starting point it seems. =)
