basically very nice, but a bit too tender and gentel .. no tension in any form/aspect ... so this makes it a bit dull to my eyes/mind, though has some photographic beauty (both foto and the model)
I love the light in this one. The pose is also great--nice, soft and gently. It works for me.
I'm not sure the selctive focus works as well here as it does in the others. Don't get me wrong, I like the selective focus, it just seems too far forward, toward the camera, in this shot. The arm of the chair is very sharp, which draws the viewer forward, away from the model. What would it look like with a little swing so that the furnature arm is slightly soft and the woman's face and left breast are sharper? Very picky, I know. I think it is a very good photo as is, but I wonder if it couldn't be stronger.
Thanks for the comments.
I agree: the selected focus is not where it should be... it should start at the face and then move down the body - not at the chair and stop after the face. My tilting is still lots of guess work - I haven't used Large Format for long - took somewhere around 30 sheets so far... so I hope I get a better feeling for it over time.... it was difficult to accurately judge it on the ground glass.
