Wow - I love the effect, it has a pointillism feel to it. I took a similar photo (small Prairie church, blue sky, puffy clouds) recently on not-as-expired-as-yours HIE (2007) - hopefully the base fog won't be too bad when I finally get a chance to develop it.

I agree with you, David... and even if I did try to replicate it, good luck to me because modern films just cannot be reticulated... at least not by me!
Indeed, this has LESS quantitative information than a normal print has. But, unlike a normal print, this image delves into a subjective aura. In that, I mean that it forces you to think because of the lack of literalness. So, maybe, in that restrictive sense, it has MORE information, overall. - David Lyga
