I have rarely seen such 'conventional' macro images on APUG. They seem to be the exclusive domain of digital forums where very often users don't seem to mind shooting several dozen frames handheld, having weird black backgrounds due to improper use of flash and cropping insanely to get ever closer.

But I know that there are other people who still shoot macro the old fashined way. So I would like to hear people's thoughts on this one.

This is a slide scan but when I want these printed I get them done from a lab that does wet prints for me.

Ok, for some reason the picture got a little fuzzy and grainy upon being uploaded. I did resize it to 433X650 @ 72 dpi. Does anyone know if APUG automatically reduces the jpeg quality while uploading?

Anupam, this is a very nicely taken photograph. Easily on a par with many I have seen in wildlife books. I would not change anything about it.

This is outstanding. some of the best controled focus I have seen with macro photography. I find nothing wrong with color or color macro on this site. We need to support all analog photography. And with all the digital color out there. supporting a analog color person should be stronger since it would be so easy to go digital.
