Great effect from the shadows of the stakes. It looks as if the black lines were painted on the rocks and sand by a surrealist. You haven't mentioned any filter, Vincent. If this was taken without a filter, such as orange or red, then this is a remarkable shot. I am not at all sure I'd have seen this if I had been there with a camera
@ HiHo Thanks very much for you comment. Vertical shots with the Xpan can be difficult to find, the foreground is the problem that I find most common. Luckily this was not a factor in this shot.
@ dasBlute Glad you like it.
@ pentaxuser. I think I had the orange filter on at the time. I think it was a matter of being there at the right time to catch the light and shadows. Thanks for your comments.
I love vertical shots, but this one forces me to buy a new monitor - the vertical one, has anyone seen vertical iMacs yet? the shadow of the sticks on the stones are a killer. Lovely picture.
@hobbes Thanks for your kind comments 'hobbes', it was the shadows on the stones that attracted me to the shot. You have lovely work yourself and I see that I made a comment on your frist photo that you posted to the site..
