acetone print....

acetone print....

well - some have asked for this..

this is an acetone print - one of the most easy - fastest - and most poisonous techniques I know of....

first a normal print is made - then a colour copy on a copying maschine.(sp?)

this copy is laid on a piece of thick copper printing paper, and then soaked with acetone....

another piece of paper is put on top, and the whole thing pulled through a etching press, under high pressure...

voila - the image has been transferred to the copper printing paper..

this is later slightly hand coloured.

the acetone is the tricky part. you can make beautiful prints in two minutes, but each print will take ten years of your sane life......;-)

Beautiful image.

Thanks for sharing the process as I personally had never heard of a acetone print.

I do not wish to be controversial, but I do love the delicate outline of the models nipple. I do not know why, I suppose it is the contrast between what looks like a rough and crumpled velvet dress and the delicateness of the human form.(I know what I am trying to say!)

Very beautiful indeed

Thanks for sharing

Stoo.

Very nice but I think it would really help if I watched you work close up for some time..especially when you're shooting. What was that address again? Please?

Very, very cool. This photograph is just too beautiful for words.

All the best,
Daniel
