Getting used to handling the 4x5 around other people is an adjustment, I was rushing and I'm not really happy with this one. Also don't have one of those compendium sunshade things and had a lot of trouble with light from the sun.
Went along with a friend to Acadia National Park with my new 4x5, and these are a few of the results thus far...
yes, handling a 4x5 commands a different sort of focus than using a point and shoot (as your friend was). i try to follow the same order when i shoot with mine so that hopefully it slowly becomes automatic...we'll see! like this one best from your uploads, btw.
Thanks guys, yes someday I may learn printing, right now, setting up a darkroom isn't really an option, thanks for the compliments and advice of course.
I like this and don't have a problem with the slight flare. It adds to the atmosphere of the photo. The nice contrast in the foreground, energy of the water and the haze in the background make it.
