Skin tones look good but I have yet to see any Portra shots here that exhibit less than good skin tones. I feel there might be a clue in the film's name
@pentaxuser Thanks. I shoot very little colour, but when I do, Portra has been my go-to for portrait work. That said, I just bought some Fuji 400H from my local store this week to try out.
Great pose and great model, with a strong presence ! Congrats
However something is disturbing me in the bokey up her right shoulder, maybe the white zone on the background ?
Interesting observation, Raphael. I realize that it is a matter of personal preference, but generally I don’t mind even a fair amount of noisy bokeh in the background of a portrait. For me, it can help to draw the eye away from the sitter, where it finds nothing of substance to grasp, and subsequently “bounces” hungrily back to the subject. This can strengthen the presence of the subject within the borders of the image in my opinion.
