there is something about early american storefronts
with ziggurat roofs that get me every time !

i love how in the background on the right, there is some
sort of rectangular shape that is repeated over and over again in the image.

That looks so desolate, lonely, and heartbreakingly deserted. The Michigan UP is a bit of a two edged sword for me. Stunning natural beauty, accompanied with some pretty severe financial destitution. Sometimes I wonder if it's the prelude of what'll happen to the entire country.
 
What draws some people to these places? I find myself pointing my camera at them too.
Looks like a print from a "thin" negative. Be careful with exposure and development. The film grain is too evident in the sky for me.
