This was a difficult lighting situation, with the dark parts of the right hand near wall on zone III and the foliage outside above zone IX. I used N-2 development. Next time I print this I'm going to try subduing the white deposits in the archway in the center of the image a bit. Although I like them, I'm thinking they compete with the other areas of interest. Any comments welcome!
Actually, I think they're prefect. You did an exquisite job of balancing your background brightness with the tunnel interior. The calcium deposits are just right.
Is that on the OLD Oriental Seagull, or the new stuff (blue and white boxes, or black lettering on plain white envelopes)?
Mark, I think this is a great image. Nice to find old pl aces like this. My only suggestion would be to burn the lower left a little. Everything else is great. Thanks.
This is stunning. It appeals to me from overall subject matter to control/trechnique.. Everything is mastered very well. Composition and tonality is just wonderful. I would not change a thing with this image.
