I live on the Isle of Wight and if this is where I think it is, that cliff edge is moving ever closer inland. There may have been a few hundred feet between the edge and the roundabout but not any more. The roundabout itself will dissapear over the side in a few years although it really should be removed now as the possibility of a child using it and slipping between the steel supports whilst it is spinning (assuming it does still spin) is probably greater than falling off the cliff.
There are lots of great photo opportunities in this area. Do you have any more to show us?
If you have a look through my gallery images there are some from an abandonned nudist holiday camp which is next to Blackgang Chine and was cut off from civilisation when the Blackgang side of the access road fell into the sea a few years ago, the road to the other side having gone many years previously.
Hi Steve, I do have more pics from that day but haven't had a chance to print any yet. I will post some of them up when I get a chance though. I want to keep my APUG gallery as scans of prints only (no neg. scans). Isle of Wight has so many opportunities for photography. It's not too far from Brighton so I'm sure I'll be back for more. Am going to check out your gallery pics now.
All the best & Merry Xmas...
