Abandoned Grain Silo

What interested me was the pigeons. They were consistently flying out of the building and in this negative, they fly out at right angles to the shape of the building.

I am new to APUG. Been photographing for over 30 years and black and white is my passion.

I like this photo a lot but I keep looking at it and wishing you cropped the left part to just inside the building so that it matches the right side which is cut off. I think it might look more appropriate.

Welcome Kreeger! I like this image a lot -- like you, I think the pigeons make the shot. I have a few negatives of old grain elevators that I really should try to print. This image is definitely an inspiration to do just that.

This is one of the nicest Grain Silo shot I have seen for a while - may be less is more

Love these shots of Grain Silos - they are so symbolic of a time in the North American Mid-West

I love grain elevator photography, this has a very interesting perspective and the birds add a nice touch
