An abandoned curragh in Connemara National Park, Co. Galway, Ireland. See below for a better description (length limits in this field). The photo was taken in July of 1989. This print was made in July, 1998 on 8” x 10” paper.
An abandoned, it seems, curragh in Connemara National Park, Co. Galway, Ireland. Curraghs are handmade leather boats, famous for their flexibility and seaworthiness. It is curious that this curragh is upended in a roofless cottage, but the cottage seems to be recently repaired and repainted. Is this a restoration in progress?
